A beautiful medium-sized early childhood service located in Newcastle West is seeking two passionate Room Leader’s to lead a wonderful team on a permanent basis. This purpose-built centre in the heart of the city has inviting and stimulating outdoor, and indoor learning environments including a playground that can be utilised in all seasons and a multipurpose room for yoga! Operating between the hours of 7.00am - 6.00pm, this beautiful centre has regular excursions with access to local museums, university, tram and the harbour. This opportunity with a family-owned centre, provides so much opportunity regarding career progression and benefits, and is a wonderful service to continue to develop your leadership skills whilst guiding a dedicated team of Early Childhood professionals!
The Role
- Permanent position working 37.5 hours per week, potential for part-time and job share as well!
- Lead and manage a team of educators to support children’s learning and development in the 1-2 year age group
- Work collaboratively with a dedicated team whilst ensuring practice is in line with policies, procedures & the centre philosophy
- Develop and deliver quality educational programs that foster children’s development and incorporate children’s interests
- Create meaningful relationships with children, families and the wider community

About You
- A Diploma in Early Childhood Education (or ACECQA-equivalent) or an ACECQA-approved degree in Early Childhood Education and Care (or actively working towards)
- NESA Teacher’s Registration (if applicable)
- A current Working with Children’s Check or willing to obtain
- Current first aid certificate (including asthma and anaphylactic training) or willing to obtain
