Your new role
As the pharmacy sales representative, your role will be to develop and maintain strong working relationships with pharmacies and health care professionals within your allocated territory in Melbourne. You will be responsible for promoting Ego’s products, identifying new business opportunities and increasing market share of the Ego product range whilst providing excellent service to Ego’s trusted partners.
Key Duties:
- Achieve or exceed individual month, cycle and annual targets into pharmacy outlets within a specified territory
- Expand range and volume of products sold through existing and new pharmacies
- Effectively promote products and services to pharmacy groups within the assigned territory
- Conduct product knowledge and sales training programs for pharmacists and their staff for the purpose of creating a favourable environment for the sales and merchandising of Ego products
- To negotiate shelf space that reflects market shares of products, seek superior locations in the store for Ego brand leaders and plan off-location displays with our major accounts
- Placing and maintaining shelf trays, shelf management trays, strips and leaflet holders in selected stores
- Provide recommendations of appropriate stores for merchandiser visits and displays
- To develop and maintain at all times, excellent product knowledge including the features and benefits of Ego products
- Maintain good knowledge of competitor products at all times and be knowledgeable of the cycle of Ego promoted products
- Manage your territory through the development of call cycles and grading based on business objectives and key accounts
- Complete weekly reports, expense reports and allowance sheets and provide copies to your manager for approval
- Ensure the database is accurately updated and meetings are recorded
- Attend trade shows, state sales meeting and national sales conferences
- Visit your local and country wholesalers where appropriate to inform them of promotions and new products.
- Monitor and take care of the Ego product stock and provide accurate reports for replenishment
Your skills and experience
- High School Certificate of Education or equivalent is essential
- Bachelor Degree in a science, business of pharmacy or a related field is desirable
- 2+ years of relevant sales or customer service experience is desirable
- Industry knowledge
