A large state organisation is currently seeking four dynamic Payroll Specialists to join their team for a short-term redundancy project. These contract positions will last for a period of 3 months, concluding in December. The team will be working alongside their main payroll team, although they will function as a separate entity.
Key Requirements:
The successful candidates will possess the following key attributes:
- Proficiency with the Edupay system, therefore, prior government experience is essential. Training on the system will be provided if necessary.
- Proven ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems.
- Strong understanding of accurate calculation methodologies.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to approach difficult conversations with empathy and common sense when presenting employees with their options.
About Us:
The organisation is seeking 4x VPS4 HR Specialists to work full-time on a department-wide project with a focus on interpreting payroll data. This short-term project requires candidates to be strategic thinkers who can effectively navigate complex payroll systems.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Strong calculation skills.
- Experience in either the Victorian Public Sector or the private sector, with exposure to complex payroll systems.
- An understanding of organisational structures and their relevance to position allocation.
- High-level computer skills, with the ability to quickly adapt to online systems/tools.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, along with active listening skills to understand and implement processes/workflows.
- An awareness of how policy impacts project deliverables and the ability to interpret, discuss, and implement policy-related aspects.
- Flexibility in the workplace, with a proactive approach to working autonomously and reporting as required.
- A positive attitude and the ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment with tight timelines.
