The Centre
A beautiful medium-sized, purpose-built Montessori centre located in the suburb of Kotara in Newcastle is seeking a Trainee for their wonderful centre. With small group settings and calm, inviting outdoor, and indoor learning environments, this centre fosters a safe and secure environment where children are supported to develop positive relationships, self-confidence, resilience and skills for life. With a long-standing team and a great workplace culture, this position in a locally renowned centre is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for young children and Early Childhood Education to begin their training, and career as an Early Childhood professional whilst learning the Montessori approach in a quality centre.
The Role
- Permanent full-time position 38 hours per week, with 3 of those hours for paid study time to complete either at home or in the centre
- Traineeship studying towards your Certificate III in Early Childhood Education along with ongoing training and support regarding the Montessori approach
- Respectfully communicating and engaging with children and families
- Collaborate with your colleagues to assist in your development and progression as an educator
- Caring for children between 6 months - 6 years of age

About You
- A current Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain)
- The ability and dedication to commit to a 12 month traineeship
- A genuine interest in a long term career working with children and families
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
- A willingness to learn the Montessori approach and implement this into your practice as an educator
