Your new role
As an APS6 Rehabilitation Case Management, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating and delivering successful injury management and return to work outcomes in accordance with relevant legislation, policies and guidelines. You will need to use your demonstrated liaison and negotiation skills to build productive relationships with employees, managers and external stakeholders and other third parties.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Coordinate and assess rehab efforts, collaborate with stakeholders, and assess program effectiveness.
- Proactively oversee rehab programs, offering early intervention as needed.
- Determine need for rehab provider, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Assist managers and providers in assigning suitable duties to injured employees.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of paperwork in compensation cases.
- Handle challenging conversations to achieve rehab success.
- Efficiently manage administrative tasks in compliance with legal requirements.
What you'll need to succeed
To be eligible for this position you will need to be an Australian Citizen, hold a Federal Government Security Clearance (Baseline, NV1 or NV2) or be willing to obtain one
Candidates who are permanently employed in the APS are encouraged to apply as a section 26, labour hire, or NOG. Also, candidates who are currently working in a private sector with strong transferable skills, are highly encouraged to apply.
