About the Role
As a Maintenance Planner working for a leading Adelaide FMCG manufacturer, your primary responsibility is to meticulously plan and coordinate all maintenance tasks for both the site's trade team and contracted specialists. Your goal is to guarantee the prompt resolution of defects and the flawless execution of preventative maintenance programs.
To excel in this position, you must possess robust interpersonal skills, including the capacity to cultivate productive working relationships with crucial internal and external stakeholders.
Duties and responsibilities
- Develop maintenance plans (weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually)
- Create weekly maintenance plans based on equipment strategies
- Review and document reasons for unfinished tasks from the previous week
- Align other maintenance activities with periodic maintenance and provide weekly updates
- Coordinate with Production Front Line Managers (FLMs) to set work priorities
- Collaborate with Maintenance FLMs to establish achievable work plans
- Work with the trades team and contractors to determine labour requirements
- Coordinate with site production schedulers to schedule suitable access times for maintenance
- Coordinate with projects and production to avoid interference with sanitation and project work
- Manage major work projects, including scoping and ensuring parts availability
- Assist in analysing equipment failures when they occur unexpectedly
- Provide data, analysis, and maintenance performance insights
- Comply with site safety standards and prioritise safety commitments
Selection Criteria
- Proficient in SAP planning system
- Familiarity with maintenance and planning systems
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Expertise in planning methodologies
- Understanding of reliability best practices
