As a Roads Restoration Officer with a focus on pavements construction, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and functionality of their road network. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing road and pavement restoration projects, ensuring they are completed efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
Reporting to the Asset Manager, Civil and Built, you will be responsible for managing road openings, restorations, road and pavement occupation, hoarding permits, and related activities in line with Council's policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert advice to property owners, residents, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure compliance with Council requirements and community expectations.
- Monitor the activities of utilities and developers to ensure compliance with Council specifications.
- Conduct insurance investigations for Public Liability claims related to infrastructure assets.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop solutions and facilitate partnerships across Council.
- Respond to customer requests and inquiries related to road openings, restorations, road and footpath occupation, hoarding permits, and driveway crossings.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or demonstrated industry experience in asset and infrastructure management.
- Experience in pavement construction in Australia
- Current Class C Driver's Licence.
- Experience in managing road openings, restorations, and related permits.
- Knowledge of asset management principles and practices.
