The Role
The role is to manage an emergency services network (telecommunications) in South Australia which encompasses field maintenance and adhoc capital upgrade or new build works (i.e. variations).
The main responsibilities of the role include:
- Provide oversight and governance for daily SAGRN team operations ensuring compliance to key contractual SLA measures
- Develop and review project management plans
- Procurement and negotiations with suppliers to obtain project goals
- Run/attend client and supplier meetings to obtain project goals
- Deliver revenue and margin targets as set
- Creation, review and delivery of variations
- Assist in any system development and deployment
- Assist and resolve any items escalated by the SAGRN team and customer
- Drive a culture of “Safety and Health above all else” and environmental responsibility by ensuring all personal actions are in line with Ventia SHEQ procedures and legislative requirements.
- Responsibility of developing project specific SHEQ management plans, work procedures and documents in line with the Company's policies, values and procedures.
- Undertake SHEQ inspections and reviews ensuring adherence to requirements
- Ensure SHEQ field workforce compliance e.g. VisRES, equipment registers etc
- Develop a strong operations team with a collaborative, client focused and safety-first culture
- Devise suitable training and development plans for all team members
The Candidate
The right candidate for this position needs to have experience in:
- Managing O&M of radio and/or paging telecommunication networks Experience with different
- technologies inc paging, voice radio, microwave
- Liaising and managing in an emergency services environment
- Demonstrated delivery to stringent SLA measures
- Customer facing service delivery roles
