About the opportunity
As the Project Manager/Estimator, you will be working with an established team across Tasmania to deliver professional and personalised outcomes across a number of projects that include but are not limited to hotels and accommodation, retail developments, hospitals and residential dwellings.
The role will require you to manage a range of projects from the tender process, to inception through to handover and to work with the team to resolve any client issues or problems in a timely and accurate manner, meeting industry standards and ensuring that all WHS obligations are met.
About you
This role will be ideal for someone with a “can do” attitude and who has demonstrated lift installation, project management and tendering experience in a senior role. Our client is looking for someone who is willing to go the extra mile to deliver high quality service to all levels of clients.
To be considered for this position you must possess the following:
... - Proven Project Management experience with the ability to evaluate and manage concurrent lift installation (or commercial construction) projects, including managing project financials, budgets and ability to read/interpret contracts and manage project variations.
- Proven background in estimating and tendering
- Exceptional people management skills with the ability to inspire and develop staff
- The ability to negotiate successfully within the industry whilst maintaining critical relationships
- Ability to manage teams by providing support and materials in a timely and professional manner
- Demonstrated customer relationship management skills and experience and the ability to prioritise stakeholder requirements
- Be autonomous, self-motivated and proactive with the ability to delegate tasks
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative, make process improvement recommendations, and manage projects which improve service delivery and provide operational efficiencies
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven success in leadership roles in a values based organisation
Also valued:
- Ability to read, interpret and apply Lift Code - AS1735 - and stay up to date with changing equipment (Code v Industry practice)
- Qualified Electrical Technician
