About the Role
Our client are a well established NSW Government body established to ensure that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have access to affordable, quality housing. They are now after an experienced Construction Project Manager to come in and join the team at their Parramatta Office.
Please note this is a contract role that is due to expire on the 22nd of April 2024.
The Project Manager will be required to support the delivery of residential construction projects. You will work on multiple projects ranging from single dwelling and duplex developments through to small-scale, multi-unit developments located across NSW, including both metro and regional locations.
Other key responsibilities will include:
- Focus on the delivery of high level communication, documentation and delivery of complex projects including construction and key asset management documents
- Provide daily guidance to more junior staff members and undertake quality assurance for all briefing notes and data provided to the Manager, Strategy & Portfolio Development and Director of Property
- Ensuring that projects achieve practical completion in line with agreed funding deadlines
- Will be involved in all stages of project delivery including procurement and the preparation of tender documentation, design review and sign-off, and construction project management.
- Ensuring compliance with statutory quality and safety standards.
- Will be able to work independently as part of a multi- disciplinary team within the AHO’s Property Division.
The role will be based in Parramatta on a hybrid office/home split. The role will require some travel across NSW.
You will work 8 hours per day, and a total of 40 hours per week.
About You
The successful candidate will possess:
- Experience in managing the delivery of low and medium-density residential construction projects is essential.
- Familiarity with systems including SAP and TRIM (CM9) is an advantage
- Proven experience on low to medium density residential construction projects
- Previous experience in a government role.
