The Company
Our client is an globally recognised food & beverage manufacturer looking for a Quality & Food Safety (QFS) Manager for their Sydney site to take on a fixed-term 3 month contract with a possibility of extension.
The Role
- Support in the implementation of QFS systems and programs while ensuring best-in-class system performance through partnership, governance and innovation.
- Interacts with regulatory personnel, food safety auditors, and customers to maintain positive and responsive relationships and ensure rapid corrective actions through dynamic leadership and timely documentation.
- Support QFS Team in implementing the key QFS related projects with packaging/bottling Partners.
- Support development, implementation and maintenance of new packaging/bottling and continuous improvement activities.
- Assist with QMS (Quality Management Systems) administration.
- Risk Assess Raw material product information forms for compliance with regulatory and customer standards
- Help in the local implementation of global QFS methodology, standards and requirements for product, package and processes, distribution and marketplace
- Artwork and product labelling checks and approvals ensuring any claims are substantiated, validated and appropriate.
- Manage and perform audits of packaging and ingredient suppliers
- Maintain documentations of all food safety processes
About You
- Minimum 5 years experience in quality and food safety within the food manufacturing industry
- Knowledge of local packaging, product and ingredient regulations & legislation
- Working knowledge of GMP and food safety regulations
- Internal Audit, PCQI, HACCP, and SQF Practitioner certification preferred
- Qualifications in food science and quality or a related discipline required
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Sharp, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good understanding of the industry market trends and conditions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional organisational and time-management skills
Work Rights
- 130K-150K + 11% Super
