We have multiple opportunities for Cellar Hand positions for the upcoming Vintage Season starting January 2024 at a popular winery, this business is an industry leading Australian global winemaking business located in the Barossa Valley.
Duties Include:
... - Implement and maintain compliance with the food safety and quality management system by reporting food safety hazards and quality problems as they arise
- Maintain product quality throughout all cellar operations
- Support and maintain compliance with all quality standards and regulatory requirements
- Work with the cellar and with the winemaking team to ensure product quality and production schedules are met
- To perform, continually develop and enhance cellar practices to optimise equipment, systems and personal effectiveness
- Ensure all cellar operation records are filled out correctly and in full as a true representation of the operations completed
What you need:
We are searching for people who are motivated, reliable, team-oriented and passionate about a career in the wine industry.
- Computer literate
- Logical thinking and strong problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to prioritise tasks
- Experience working in the agriculture/wine industry is an advantage, but not essential
- Forklift license is an advantage, but not essential
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 25kg
- Ability to pass a pre-employment and drug & alcohol testing
- Ability to work 12 hour shifts, 6 days per week
