My client is a large Federal Government Agency and has an urgent requirement for an ICT Asset manager to lead resource lifecycle management across their portfolio of ICT assets, including but not limited to, hardware, network and software services as well as financial reporting.

Key Accountabilities:
- Active engagement with the business to understand ICT asset requirements, issues and pain points. Work with ICT teams to remediate and communicate with the business.
- Improve business efficiency and minimise business risk by leading the development of asset management and sourcing strategies.
- Ensure production of both structured and ad-hoc reports, policies, procedures and analysis on ICT assets both for customer consumption and on vendor performance.
- Maintain currency of knowledge to support the Agency’s assets including digital and connectivity solutions and mobile device management to ensure all ICT assets achieve the required business outcomes for the Agency.
- Manage Financial system functions and delegations such as travel, expenses and invoicing for approved services.
- Budgets are developed, managed and reported on in conjunction with Finance teams for all activities under responsibility.
- Participate and lead projects that enhance the Agency’s ICT environment and customer service capabilities..
- Deliver the Digital Strategy in consultation with the Director, ICT Operations.
Essential skills:
- Experience in the technical management of ICT and associated contracts.
- Technical knowledge, skills and understanding of ICT, procurement and contracts, together with project management experience
- Experience in managing a team of internal and external resources in the delivery of ICT services
- Experience in vendor management and knowledge of ITIL practices and processes relevant to the role
- Effective communications, problem solving and decision-making skills with an ability to lead by example
- Understanding of Australian Government ICT Security policies or equivalent Industry best practices
- Relevant qualifications in ICT or Business and/or equivalent relevant experience
- Eligible for Baseline Clearance (Australian Citizenship mandatory).
