About your new role
- Lead direct reports in providing customer focused services to event organisers and hirers for commercial and community use of venues and sites, ensuring appropriate work health and safety and risk assessment and mitigation processes are incorporated into all bookings requirements, activities and functions.
- Manage the bookings for venues and sites to ensure the most appropriate venue/site is matched with the desires of venue and site hirers ensuring that timely and accurate information is provided to potential hirers and users of venues and sites.
- Develop and implement the Park’s booking systems and data collection programs and analyse, compile, maintain and present accurate records and reports on visitor and booking statistics, activities and income including ongoing and periodic park visitor, vehicle and pedestrian surveys and counts.
- Maintain and update visitor use policies, implement well researched pricing strategies and respond to visitor trends for park use and activities, working with staff to build awareness and understanding of these and assist in gaining input and support from stakeholders for Trust activities and events as well as supporting stakeholder activities.
- Liaise with key staff regarding bookings and events schedules to ensure that necessary services are provided while balancing the impacts on visitor experience, to ensure a high-quality experience is maintained.
- Assist with coordinating and planning research and developing and implementing standards, plans and programs to identify and facilitate business opportunities, commercial activities on site and new events.
- Assist in providing visitor facilities in accordance with all relevant planning tools, such as local plans of management and regional strategies, to ensure visitor satisfaction.
- Undertake a range of financial activities including monitoring and reporting on income and expenditure, processing purchase orders and invoice requests, issuing receipts, and providing input to reviews of fees and charges in order to contribute to the preparation and management of the unit’s budget.
Essential Criteria:
- Experience in organising events and providing customer-focused services to a range of outdoor venue hirers and other stakeholders in sensitive and unique venue environment.
- Experience in interpreting and applying conditions and requirements to individual events and activities.
- Current Drivers Licence.
There are multiple roles available working from Parramatta or Centennial Park. Please note, work from home is avaliable for one day per week.
You will need to be available for a minimum of 4 months.
