The APS5 Guidance Officer will have a considerable level of contact with internal and external stakeholders and will be required to communicate with and provide advice on a range of matters to resolve moderately complex to complex enquiries.

Key responsibilities:
- Researching, drafting and updating internal and external guidance with a participant focus that reflects the Agency’s policy positions and meets agency’s plain English and accessibility standards.
- Interpreting the policy and legislative environment the branch operates in, including understanding and translating the Agency's Act and Rules into Our Guidelines.
- Developing or updating guidance material in response to participant and external stakeholder feedback.
- Understanding the key stages of the participant pathway, specific participant cohorts and technical processes within SAP CRM and PACE business system requirements.
- Providing service delivery knowledge and advice about procedural guidance, practice implementation and operational matters as needed to support an improved participant experience.
- Contributing to continuous improvement, maintaining best practice and innovation in the branch.
- Managing multiple priorities while maintaining high work standards, governance protocols and accuracy, meeting defined timeframes and performing other duties as requested.
To be successful in this role, you must:
- Having achieved a satisfactory level of technical, functional, and/or professional skill or knowledge in position-related areas; keeping up with current developments and trends in areas of expertise; leveraging expert knowledge to accomplish results.
- Responsible for providing professional and policy advice within an area of specialisation or providing technical expertise that contributes to business unit outcomes.
- Communicate with and provide advice and recommendations to a wide variety of customers and external stakeholders.
- Ability to use computer/software applications including Microsoft Office and client records management system (CRM)
- Must be an Australian Citizen
