Our client is a leading global designer and manufacturer of quality power transmission and motion control products, offering a diverse product portfolio and over 10,000 employees within 50 manufacturing facilities worldwide. Their products are sold in over 70 countries and utilized in various major industrial markets, including Mining, Oil & Gas, Marine, Defense, Food Processing, Steel, Material Handling, Packaging and many more.
The service division is rapidly expanding due to unprecedented growth across Australian industry. As a result, we are looking for a mechanical fitter to be based at their newly established Newcastle workshop.
This role will focus on commissioning new equipment and projects, workshop-based service and repairs, field and onsite service. Examples of the Workshop and Onsite services include;
Workshop Services
... - Overhaul and Refurbishment using genuine parts and design specifications to as new condition, returned with a warranty as per manufacturer's specifications
- Braking and Hydraulic Testing
- Data Logging of Information and Test results
- Newcastle based - Brand new facility
Onsite Services
- Installation and Commissioning of New Equipment and Systems
- Planned and Preventative Maintenance
- Upgrades and Retrofits Correct Adjustments to OEM Specifications
- 24/7 Technical Support
- Supply and Installation of Genuine Parts
- Site Parts & Stock Management
Prerequisites:
- Mechanical Trade Certificate
- A Can-do attitude and a team player mentality
- Strong attention to detail
- Adept with time management, prioritization of work and able to work autonomously
- Able to pass drug and alcohol screening + medical check
- Reliable transport
- Excellent work references that can support your application
Favorable but not essential skills and competencies include;
- PWCS and Cadia mine site inductions
- Microsoft Office skills
- Customer service skills
- Forklift license
- First aid ticket
- Electrical disconnect/reconnect license
